Press Office of the Prime Minister of Georgia accuses "Tabula" of spreading false statement of Irakli Graibashvili regarding the Russian investments
It is said in the statement of the Press Office of the Prime Minister.
On February 12 the online edition “Tabula” published the information with the headline – “ Garibashvili: at the beginning of the year we are expected a big Russian investments in Georgia.” The article says:
"The Russians have the specific interests in various fields of Georgia. The Prime Minister Irakli Garebashvili has declared on the "Imedi " TV. As he said this industrial sectors are mainly agriculture, energy and logistics.”
“We solemnly declare that the Prime Minister did not make such statement in an interview on TV “Imedi”. On the talk show “Policy Time” Garibashvili spoke about the successful visits abroad, including the fruitful meeting with businessmen in Israel. He noted that Georgian-Jewish business forum will be held in the beginning of March” – writes the Press Office of the Prime Minister.
"They have the specific interests in various fields of Georgia. Especially in agriculture, energy and logistics. Therefore, I expect the investment boom.
It may sound excessive, but we are expecting a large number of investments in Georgia,"- said the Prime Minister to the Interview with “Imedi” TV. With respect to the statements towards Russia, the Prime Minister expressed readiness for the direct dialogue with the Russian leadership. He also noted that the constructive dialogue with Russia has a great support from the international community” - said in a statement.
