Georgia and Colombia have signed the Memorandum of Understanding

Foreign Ministers Mikheil Janelidze and Maria Cuellar signed the Memorandum of Understanding between Georgia and Colombia. Following the ceremony of signing, the Ministers exchanged their views on the future co-operation and underlined the importance of the Memorandum in the development of the relations between the two countries.

On the sidelines of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly, Mikheil Janelidze held meetings with his counterparts from Bolivia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Ghana and Bhutan.

At the meeting with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Manuel Gonzalez, Mikheil Janelidze highlighted bilateral relations and expressed the readiness to develop co-operation. Manuel Gonzalez underlined the reforms Georgia has carried out, particularly, in the sphere of good governance. The two Ministers also focused on co-operation in the sphere of tourism. Mikheil Janelidze invited his Costa Rican counterpart to pay an official visit to Georgia.

At the meeting with the Bolivian Foreign Minister, the positive dynamic of co-operation was underlined. Mikheil Janelidze informed his Bolivian counterpart on the implemented and current reforms in Georgia, on Georgia’s transit role and opportunities as a regional hub in terms of doing business. The Honduran Foreign Minister took an interest in democratic reforms carried out in Georgia.

Mikheil Janelidze thanked his colleagues for successful bilateral and multilateral co-operation.
